Josh Warren (Board of Directors) –
Josh Warren is a former U.S Army Ranger serving from 2001-2005 with C Company 2nd Ranger
Battalion. Josh served 5 combat tours during his service in support of the Global War on Terror
in both Iraq and Afghanistan. He is now in a commissioning program and will be commissioned as
an Infantry officer in the U.S Army in the summer of 2009. He has been reenacting since he was
13 starting with the Revolutionary War and eventually moving to both Vietnam and WWII. He has
been organizing events in the Pacific Northwest since 2006 as a member of Battlesim.
Scott Johnston (Board of Directors) –
Scott Johnston has worked for a large Redmond based software company for over 14 years and
is currently a program manager working with embedded devices. He also worked for 5 years as a
commercial white water rafting guide on rivers in Washington State, providing paying customers
with a safe yet exhilarating experiences. Heavily involved in the Pacific NW airsoft scene since
2001, Scott has been involved in organizing numerous multi-day events, most notably Gallant
Saber II. As a member of Evergreen Airsoft, he worked with local leaders in the airsoft community
and the DNR to create a pilot program to secure access to public land for organized, safe and
responsible airsoft usage. He has been involved with historical airsoft & reenacting since 2006,
first as a participant and currently as an organizer.
Greg Hamilton (Board of Directors) – Fw_Heidrich@thewardept.org
Greg Hamilton is an over 20 year veteran of US Army Rangers and Special Forces. He runs a
full time firearms and tactical training company catering to private citizen, Law Enforcement and
the U.S. Military. He is an amateur military historian and living historian and has been involved in
military reenactments, veteran’s displays, and public education since 2001. He has traveled
Western Europe visiting battlefields, museums, garrison towns, and attending veterans reunions;
and has participated in the 2007 Normandy Invasion Anniversary in WWII uniform. Greg’s focus
is on Allied and Axis Airborne and Special Operations Forces and how their groundbreaking
accomplishments relate to today’s military.
DJ Warfield (Board of Directors) – dwarfield@thewardept.org
DJ Warfield is a native of Washington State. He is employed as a shipwright for Delta Marine
Inc., a custom yacht building company in south Seattle. His hobbies include skiing,
snowboarding, surfing, martial arts, and is currently a blue belt in Gracie jiu-jitsu. DJ has traveled
extensively, setting foot on every continent except Antarctica and South America. He is a
graduate of the University of Washington and a four-year veteran of the United States Marine
Corps. Majoring in social science with a strong emphasis in politics and world history, DJ has
found the period airsoft events to complement his active lifestyle as well as satisfy his desire to
study military history. DJ is married with one child and lives in Sea-Tac. Self-discipline and
organization are cornerstones in DJ’s life. He has always lived by a sturdy motto of necessity
first, pleasure second.
John Robison (Board of Directors) –
John Robison was briefly enlisted and is a Retired US Army officer and graduate of RANGER
school. Jump qualified he also completed the Jungle warfare course in Panama and both the
101st and 9th ID RECONDO schools. He served as the training officer for the 1st Brigade
RECONDO school for 3 cycles. He retired from the Army in 1977. Currently he has a training and
consulting business and conducts Management and Leadership workshops for a wide variety of
clients. He has three grown children and a wife of 62 years. (31 for her and 31 for him) He
resides in Sammamish Washington where he collects WW2 uniforms and equipment and builds
replica Airsoft Garands as a hobby.

David Hintze (Photographer) -
David Hintze has been in the airsoft scene for several years now, and while he still participates in
some modern events, has become solely a photographers for WWII and Vietnam reenactments
and living history events. His style is unique and brings back from events what people enjoy
looking at time and time again. Starting a website under the name Gwag, which by itself has a
long back history with roots tracing to his first airsoft screen name, GwagDesigns is now his
